Farmer killed in elephant attack in Rangamati

RANGAMATI, Feb 27, 2025 (BSS) - A farmer was killed in an attack by a wild elephant at Kaitakpara village under Rajasthali upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased is Usching Marma, 45, son of late Kyao Marma, a resident of the village.

Officer-in-Charge of Rajasthali Police Station Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury said farmer Usching Marma was attacked by a wild elephant in the aforementioned area around 11 am while he was going to his farm land. He died on the spot.
