35 AL men sent to jail in Narail sabotage, vandalism cases

NARAIL, Feb 27, 2025 (BSS) - Thirty-five leaders and activists of Kalia upazila and Naragati Thana Awami League and its allied organizations have been sent to jail in three separate cases.

Judges Mehedi Hasan and Sabrina Chowdhury today ordered to send them to jail as they appeared in two separate courts this afternoon in three cases, including sabotage and vandalism of the BNP office on December 10, 2024.

The accused include Pahardanga Union Awami League president and former Pohordanga UP chairman Mollah Mokarram Hossain Hiru, former chairman of Mauli Union Parishad and Awami League leader Firoz Ahmed, Naragati Thana Awami League member Hasibul Alam Ujjwal, Thana Swechchhasebak League general secretary Mursalin Khandaker, Pahardanga Union Jubo League president Selim Sikder, Kalia Upazila Jubo League former general secretary Abid Hasan Abdullah and Upazila Chhatra League former general secretary Mohammad Rana.
