MUNSHIGANJ, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS) - A truck driver was killed and its helper injured when a truck hit their standing vehicle in front of the Padma Bridge North Police Station under Louhajang upazila of the district today.

The deceased was truck driver Hafizur Rahman, 40, of Bagura village under Kaliganj upazila in Satkhira district.

The accident occurred this morning when a truck hit another standing truck on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, leaving its driver Hafizur, who was repairing the truck, dead on the spot and injuring its helper, said Dewan Azad Hossain, station officer of Srinagar Fire Service.

Injured helper Abul Kalam was sent to Srinagar Upazila Health Complex, he added.
