CHANDPUR, March 5, 2025 (BSS) - The joint force in a drive arrested five alleged drug traders along with ganja and yaba tablets from Sadar and Kachua upazila of the district today.
On a tip-off, a team of the joint force conducted a drive in Bahria area of Sadar upazila this morning and arrested three drug traders with ganja, said Lieutenant Jabid Hasan, operational officer of Chandpur Army Camp.
The arrested were Shahjahan Gazi, 55, Joyel Gazi, 29, and Parvez Gazi, 24.
On the other hand, a joint team of Hajiganj Army Camp and Kachua Thana Police conducted a drive in Karai area of Kachua upazila and arrested listed drug dealers Md. Sohel Mia, 28, and Parash Chandra Das, 34, with 123 pieces of yaba tablets and 20 grams ofganja, he said.
Lieutenant Jabid Hasan said that the recovered drugs and the arrested persons have been handed over to the Sadar and Kachua Thana Police.
