NARSINGDI, March 5, 2025 (BSS) - Narsingdi District Livestock Office started the sale of milk, chicken and eggs at affordable prices today, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to provide the protein items to the general people.

Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi, Mohammad Rashed Hossain Chowdhury inaugurated the programme as the chief guest held at Brahmandi area of Sadar upazila. 

Narsingdi District Livestock Officer Saiful Islam presided over the inaugural event.

Under this program, milk is being sold at Tk 80 per liter while a dozen eggs is being sold at Tk 100 and chicken is being sold at Tk 170 per kg.
