33 members of AL, affiliated bodies held in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Mar 6, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) during the last 24 hours arrested 33 leaders and activists of the Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League from different area of the city.

Police said they were arrested on charge of attacking protesters during the student-led mass uprising in July and August last year.

Several teams of the CMP conducted raids and arrested them.
The arrested persons were implicated in several cases under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and PR) of the CMP said most of the arrestees are
accused of several cases.
