JHENAIDAH, March 06, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed in two separate road accidents at Moheshpur and Shailakupa upazilas of the district today.

The deceased were Jashim Uddin, 30, a resident of Mirpur upazila of Kushtia and Fazar Ali, 45, of Mallikpara of Chuadanga.

Officer-in-charge (OC) Moheshpur police station Foyez Uddin Mridha said a truck hit Jashim Uddin, who was mentally challenged, in the Jinnahnagar Bazar area, leaving him dead on the spot.

In another incident, an unknown vehicle hit Fazar Ali in front of Fulhari Dakhil Madrasa in Shoilakupa upazila, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Jhenaidah 250-bed General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
