Stakeholders meet in Narsingdi to stabilize Ramadan commodity prices

NARSINGDI, March 8, 2025 (BSS) - A stakeholder meeting was held with the Board of Directors of the Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NCCI), market committee leaders, and traders to ensure stable commodity prices during the holy month of Ramadan.

The meeting took place on Saturday at the Chamber Hall, presided over by NCCI president Rashedul Hasan Mintu.

At the meeting, the speakers mentioned the factors, which are raising the prices of essential commodities like oil, rice, and lentils and ways to keep them affordable.
 
The traders were instructed to sell products at the fixed prices mentioned and refrain from hoarding goods.

The NCCI announced that a market monitoring team would inspect markets and traders would cooperate with the administration to maintain fair prices.

Senior Vice President Abdul Kaiyum Molla, Vice President Hasib Molla, Narsingdi Bazar Banik Samity President Babul Sarkar, Directors Nazmul Bhuiyan, Delwar Hossain Dulal, Nasir Ahmed Rigan, and other market traders were present.
