MYMENSINGH, March 9, 2025 (BSS) - Police in a drive arrested former councilor and panel mayor-2 of Mymensingh City Corporation Mahbubur Rahman Dulal under the Anti-Terrorism Act early this morning.
A police team conducted a drive in Akua area of the city around 3 am and arrested Dulal, assistant organizing secretary of Mymensingh Metropolitan Awami League, from his residence.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station Shafiqul Islam Khan said Mahbubur Rahman Dulal has been arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act on specific allegations.
Despite allegations of involvement in criminal activities against him, he used to move around in public, which had become a cause of concern for the common people, he said.
