LAKSHMIPUR, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - A woman was killed in a road accident in Char Lawrence area under Kamalnagar upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Nur Nahar Begum, 65, wife of Selim Mia, a resident of the same area.

The accident took place around 10.30 am when a truck hit an auto-rickshaw from the opposite direction, leaving auto-rickshaw passenger Nur Nahar Begum injured, said Touhidul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kamalnagar Police
Station.

The injured was taken to Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

A case was filed in this connection, the OC added.
