BSF returns two Bangladeshis

JHENAIDAH, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - Indian Border Security Force (BSF) sent back two Bangladeshi men through Maheshpur border of the district on Tuesday night.

They were Shyamal Biswas, 66, son of Shridam Biswas of Bhuiyagarh village in Kutubpur union of Narayanganj and Ratan Sarkar, 58, son of Haridyal Sarkar of Raghunathpur village of the district.

Maheshpur BGB-58 Battalion Assistant Director Saiful Islam in a press release said that on Tuesday afternoon the duo tried to illegally enter Bangladesh from India. At that time, they were detained by the BSF. 

Later, the BSF called on the BGB to take them back. Later that night, after a flag meeting between the BGB and BSF, they returned home.
