BGB provides assistance to fire victims at Sajek Valley

RANGAMATI, March 13, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) Baghaihat Battalion and Marishya Battalion today provided financial assistance along with household items to 42 local Lusai and Tripura families affected by fire in Sajek Valley of the district.

BGB Khagrachhari Sector Commander Colonel Abdul Mottakim handed over the assistance to the families at a function held in front of the Tripura Community Center in Ruilui Para, Sajek this afternoon.

BGB-27 Marishya Zone Commander Lt. Col. Zahidul Islam Zahid and BGB-54 Baghaihat Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Mohiuddin Farooqui and other officials were present during the time.

Khagrachhari Sector Commander Colonel Abdul Mottakim said that BGB, along with other organizations, has come to the aid of the families affected by the terrible fire in Sajek.

Along with ensuring the safety of the lives and property of the public, BGB will continue to provide such assistance in the future as well, he said.
