One held with 2,500 yaba tablets in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, March 13, 2025 (BSS) - The joint force in a drive arrested an alleged smuggler with 2,500 pieces of yaba tablets from Charbhanga area under Haimchar upazila of the district last night.

The detainee was Md. Barek Khan, 35, son of Lokman Khan, a resident of Khan Bari area of the upazila.

On a tip-off, a team of the joint force conducted a drive in the area and arrested Barek with the yaba tablets, said Lieutenant Jabid Hasan, operational officer of Chandpur Army Camp this morning.

He has been handed over to the police for further legal action.
