Govt allocates 236 tonnes rice under VGF programme in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, March 13, 2025 (BSS) - The government has allocated 236.67 tonnes of rice under the Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme for six upazilas and two municipalities of the district on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. 

District Relief and Rehabilitation Department sources said 236.67 tonnes of rice has been allocated against 23,667 cardholders in six upazilas and two municipalities of the district.

Of this, 45.37 tonnes of rice have been allocated in Sadar upazila, 10.53 tonnes in Gazaria, 18.31 tonnes in Tongibari, 12.51 tonnes in Louhajang, 31.55 tonnes in Sirajdikhan, 25.98 tonnes in Srinagar, 46.21 tonnes in Munshiganj Municipality and 46.21 tonnes to Mirkadim Municipality.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Mohammad Mubinur Rahman said each of the card holders will get 10 kg of rice.
