Extensive measures taken to maintain law and order during Ramadan, Eid

BAGERHAT, March 17, 2025 (BSS) - The district police has taken extensive
measures to maintain law and order in the region during the holy month of
Ramadan and the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

As part of the measures, police have set up separate check posts in Nawapara and
Fakirhat on the Bagerhat-Khulna, Mongla-Katakhali highways.

Besides, special police patrols have been launched from today.

Superintendent of Police Touhidul Arif told BSS that the law and order situation
in the district is good because a number of suspects have already been arrested
since February 9 and special operations are underway in all police stations of the
district since March 2.

“We are making every effort, patrolling has been strengthened on the highway
during Ramadan, check posts have been set up in Nawapara and Fakirhat to
maintain law and order during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr,” he said.
