Youth held with Yaba tablets in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, April 23, 2025 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a drive, 
today arrested a young man along with 85 pieces of Yaba tablets from Hi-Tech 
park adjacent area under Kashiadanga Police Station of the district.

The arrested was identified as Sumon, 20, son of late Shafiqul Islam, of 
Gulzarbagh Guripara area under the upazila, according to a press release of 
RAB-5 headquarters. 

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the area and 
nabbed Sumon with the contraband drugs while he along with his cohorts were 
moving around the area for the purpose of buying and selling those, it said. 

A case was filed against the arrested person under the Narcotics Control Act 
at the Kashiyadanga Police Station, said Major Asif Al Razek deputy commander 
of the RAB-5.
