CHATTOGRAM, April 23, 2025 (BSS) - At least 300 farmers were given incentives for Aush paddy in Boalkhali upazila of the district today.
 
Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) distributed free seeds and fertilizers under the agricultural program to increase the cultivation and production of Aush paddy in the Kharip-1 season. 
 
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Rahmat Ullah presided over the incentive distribution programme at the Upazila Parishad premises on Wednesday morning. 
 
Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Md Atique Ullah delivered the welcome speech. 
 A total of five kg of Ufshi paddy seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer and 10 kg of MOP fertilizer were given to each farmers as incentives. 
 
Among others, Upazila Plant and Seed Conservation Officer Tapan Kanti Dey, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Soumitra Dey, Shibu Kanti Nath, Laxman Kumar Karan, Faridul Alam, Joynal Abedin, Supriya Chowdhury and Manjur Morshed were present on the occasion.
