Child killed in Jhenaidah road accident

JHENAIDAH, May 9, 2025(BSS) - A seven-year-old girl was killed in a tragic road accident at Armukhi village under Sadar upazila in the district early today. 

The deceased was identified as Saima Khatun, daughter of Saiful Islam, a resident of Armukhi village under Naldanga union of Sadar upazila.

Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the incident.

Police sources said that the incident occurred when Saima went out to buy biscuits from a nearby shop in front of her house. She was struck by an easy bike, leaving her critically injured on the spot.

Later, locals rushed to rescue the child and took her to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, where the duty doctor declared her dead.
