Rangpur DCA launches 4-day special service program

RANGPUR, May 12, 2025 (BSS) – The Rangpur Divisional Controller of Accounts (DCA) Office today launched a four-day special service program with self-motivated commitment to provide non-discriminatory service to the citizens.
 
Rangpur DCA Mohammad Shahjahan inaugurated the four-day program in a function held at his office premises on the occasion of the 52nd founding anniversary of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh.
 
DCA officials, Md Asadul Islam,   Badhon Kumar Sheel   and employees of the office were present at the event.
 
The special service program will continue till May 15.
 
The special service program includes immediate one-stop service provision to service recipients, including pre-audit bill settlement, salary determination, pension case settlement, life verification, family pension settlement, pension replacement, disability pension, use of life verification apps, correction or change of various information of pensioners, submission of summary bills, opening of GPF and correction or change of GPF information, and provision of advice and some other services.
 
Former Rangpur Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ravi Shankar Mondal, a service recipient who came to the special service program at the DCA office, said he came there for pension-related work.
 
“As soon as I arrived, the concerned people quickly listened to the problem and took the initiative to solve it,” he said, and expressed satisfaction on the quality of services he received there.
 
Retired army officer Md Azizul Islam said, “I came to the DCA office for life verification work. My work was completed within a minute of my arrival and I was entertained with coffee and biscuits.
 
“This is really like a different government office,” he added.
 
Talking to BSS, Rangpur DCA Mohammad Shahjahan said, “We provide various services to the service recipients throughout the year as per the Citizen Charter.”
 
“On the occasion of the special service program, our services are being provided with more sincerity through immediate one-stop service. The special service program will act as a regulator so that we can provide similar services throughout the year,” he said.
