Three-day land fair begins in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, May 25, 2025 (BSS) – A three-day land fair has begun in the district with the aim of bringing digital land-related services to the common people.

Deputy Commissioner M Rafikul Islam inaugurated the fair on the premises of Sadar upazila Land Office today as the chief guest.

The fair was organised by Sadar Upazila Land Office with the cooperation of Land Ministry, Land Reform Board and Land Management Automation Project.

The deputy commissioner said land-related services are being provided at the fair to resolve the complaints of the service seekers, immediately after hearing them.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Jane Alam, Revenue Deputy Collector Md. Saddam Hossain, Sadar Upazila Surveyor Abu Dayan, Union Deputy Assistant Land Officers of 10 unions were present, among others.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) presided over the function.

Rafiqul Islam said with introduction of the land management automation system, citizens will be able to avail hassle-free services.

The Ministry of Land is committed to establishing a harassment-free and people-friendly land service system and to achieve that goal it (ministry) has taken various steps, he said.
