Khulna, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day land fair began on the premises of the Khulna Deputy Commissioner's Office aiming to ensure the delivery of citizen-friendly and digital land services directly to the people.

Marking the occasion, a press conference was held today (Sunday) at the conference room of Khulna Circuit House.

Speaking as the chief guest, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) of Khulna Md Firoz Shah said, "Land administration is being progressively digitized to ensure transparency, accountability and faster public service delivery."

"From the application to the resolution of e-mutation, all processes are now conducted online. This initiative will play an important role in building a modern and progressive Bangladesh, with active participation of the young generation."

"Through this land fair, digital land services will be delivered directly to the citizens. This will reduce public suffering and significantly enhance the quality of services, he added."

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Md Akhtar Hossain, officials from various government departments, and journalists from print and electronic media were also present at the event.

Organised by the Khulna Divisional Administration, the press conference highlighted the modernization efforts of land services.

The land fair, which runs from May 25 to May 27, 2025, will remain open from 9am to 5pm every day.

A total of eight stalls have been set up at the fair. The stalls include a land service exhibition, audio-visual presentation booth, information and booklet distribution centre, quiz competition, public hearing and feedback booth, citizen consultation corner, land discussion pavilion and seminar arrangement.

Organizers expressed hope that such initiatives will ensure transparency in land administration and play a timely role in improving service delivery.
