Diagnostic center in Chandpur fined for possessing injections illegally

CHANDPUR, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - A local diagnostic center named ‘New Ibn Sina Diagnostic Center’ was fined Tk 30,000 for keeping 484 ampoules of government-allocated injections.

Assistant Director of the National Consumer Rights Protection Department's district office Abdullah Al Imran conducted the drive at the diagnostic center today in the Muktijoddha Road area.

Abdullah Al Imran said the operation was conducted as part of market surveillance in the area. The diagnostic centre was fined under the Consumer Rights Protection Act.

The seized ampoules of injections will subsequently be transferred to the Civil Surgeon's office through the Chandpur District Commissioner.

Such initiatives will continue in future in the public interest, he added.
