One held with one lakh yaba in Teknaf

COX'S BAZAR, May 28, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel arrested a man with one lakh pieces of yaba tablets at Hoikang check post in Teknaf in the early hours of today.

     The arrested is Md. Ikram, 29, of Hnila union in Teknaf. 

     The members of the BGB intercepted Ikram who was going to Teknaf by a motorcycle at the check post around 12:30 am today, said BGB-64 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Mohammad Jasim Uddin.

     Later, 1 lakh pieces of yaba were recovered after searching his bag, he added. 

     He was handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station with the seized yaba tablets and motorcycle.

     A case was filed in this connection.
