SATKHIRA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - One person was killed and three others were injured in a road accident in front of Jonaki Cinema Hall in Kalaroa upazila here this afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Ashraf Hossen, 50, son of Nurul Islam, a resident of Narayanpur village in Balli union under Satkhira Sadar upazila.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when a cattle-laden truck collided with another vehicle as it reached the area in front of Jonaki Cinema Hall, leaving four people injured, including Ashraf.

Local residents rushed the critically injured Ashraf to Satkhira Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for an autopsy, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Sekandar Ali of Kalaroa Police Station.
