Elderly man killed in Bagerhat road accident

BAGERHAT, May 29, 2025 (BSS) - An elderly man was killed in a road accident at Godown intersection under Fakirhat upazila of the district this morning.


The deceased was Torab Ali, 80, a resident of Parkurshail village in Baruipara of the district.


The accident occurred around 6.30 am on the Khulna-Dhaka highway when a vehicle ran over Torab Ali while he was crossing the road, said Sheikh Nuruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Mollahat Highway Police Station.


Injured Torab Ali was taken to the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
