Ferry movement suspended at Paturia-Daulatdia route for gusty wind

MANIKGANJ, May 29, 2025 (BSS) - The ferry movement between Paturia-Daulatdia 
has been suspended from 3.30 pm due to bad weather.
 
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat Assistant 
General Manager (AGM) Abdus Salam said the ferry movement was suspended from 
3.30 pm as the gusty wind along with heavy rain has been prevailing over area 
and for the safety of ferries, vehicles on the ferries and passengers.
 
The Paturia Ghat sources said all the country boats, engine driven boats and 
launches have already been suspended.
 
BIWTC Paturia Ghat sources said there is no traffic congestion at the Ghat.
 
Meanwhile, the ferry movement at Aricha-Kazirhat route is also remaining 
suspended including launches and speed boats.
