DHAKA, July 11, 2025 (BSS) - The flood situation of Feni district likely to
develop as the water level of the Selonia and Muhuri Rivers under Feni
district likely to reduce in next 72hours.
The water level of Selonia and Muhuri river under the Feni district is
reducing and the water of these river flowing under the danger level while
the moderate and moderate to heavy rainfall likely to occur on these river
basin in the next three days, said a release of Flood Forecasting and Warning
Center (FFWC) Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) here today.
Even the water level of Tista and Darala is rising but the water level of
these rivers remain under the danger level, said the FFWC release.
The water level of these river's likely to reduce in the next three days.
Moderate and moderate to heavy rainfall likely to happen on these river
basins in the next three days.
On the other hand, the water level of Surma Kushiarais rising but the water
of these two rivers is following under the danger level. Even the water level
of these river likely to reduce and water level likely to become stable on
third day.
Moderate and moderate to heavy rainfall also likely to happen on the river
basin areas in next three day.
But the water level of Ganges and Padma is rising and it likely to continue
till next five day while the water flow of these rivers likely remains under
the danger level. Moderate and moderate to heavy rainfall likely to happen on
these river basin area.
The water level of Halda, Gomoti,Feni, Sangu and Matamuhuri rivers are
reducing and it will continue for next one day and likely to rise one third
day. Moderate and moderate to heavy rainfall likely to happen on the river
basin areas for next three day.
Meanwhile, the water level of Brahmaputra and Jamuna is rising and it will
static for next one day and water level likely to reduce in next four days
and it [water] likely to flow under the danger level. Moderate rainfall
likely to occur on these river basin areas for next five day.
The Chattogram and Dhaka divisions witnessed moderate and moderate to heavy
rainfall for the last 24 hours, said the FFWC forecast. The low pressure
persists on Gangetic west Bengal and its adjacent area has already become
weaken.
The water level of 80 points has risen, reduces in 44points and remains
unchanged in 3 stations, according to 127 water level observation centers of
the country's different rivers.
