BAGERHAT, Aug 18, 2025 (BSS)- National Fisheries Week was observed in the district today with rally, fish fry release, discussion meeting and prize distribution.

On the occasion a colorful rally started from Mollahat Upazila Parishad premises in the morning. The rally ended at the same place after circumambulating various roads.

Later, fish fry were released in the Upazila Parishad pond. After that, a discussion meeting and prize distribution were held in the Upazila Parishad auditorium.

Upazila Executive Officer Shyamananda Kundu was the chief guest at the function presided over by Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Rajib Roy.
