JUCSU election, 132 nomination forms collected on first day

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Aug 18, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 132 nomination forms were collected on the first day of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) and hall union elections slated for September 11 next.

Of them, 46 forms were collected for different posts in the central students’ union while 86 were picked up for 21 hall unions.

Professor AKM Rashedul Alam, member secretary of the JUCSU Election Commission, also JU proctor told this afternoon.

He also added that the Jahangirnagar University unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has requested the commission to extend the deadline for collecting and submitting nomination forms for two days. 

Prof Rashidul said the matter will be discussed at the election commission’s next meeting.
