RANGPUR, July 12, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested two alleged drug dealers with 154 kg ganja from Mahiganj area in Rangpur metropolis early today.

 On a tip off, a team of RAB-13 set up a check post at Nabdiganj Bazar point on the Rangpur-Kurigram highway and seized a huge quantity of smuggled ganja and a truck carrying it. Two persons were arrested with the ganja at 12:30 am, a press release said.
 

The arrestees are: Rabiul Islam, 30, of Dakshin Krishnapur village under Phulbari police station in Dinajpur district and Md Shakil Ahmed alias Hridoy, 21, of Prannath Patikapara village under Hatibandha police station in Lalmonirhat district.
 
RAB handed over the arrestees along with the seized ganja and truck to Mahiganj police station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police for further legal action, the release added.
