BNP wants implementation of July uprising aspirations: Prince

MYMENSINGH, July 12, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince has said that his party wants to implement the aspirations of the July Mass Uprising and repay the blood debt of the martyrs by winning the hearts of the people through taking practical programs. 

"We want to implement aspirations of the July uprising by taking practical programmes," he said while addressing as the chief guest at a ward council and membership renewal ceremony of BNP leaders and activists of Jugali Union under Haluaghat Upazila in the district on Friday. 

He said that BNP will establish democracy through people's politics, according to a post of the BNP Media Cell on its verified Facebook account. 

Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman took politics out of the leaders' drawing rooms and took it to the rural areas and ensuring accountability and public participation in politics by visiting villages across the nation on foot. 

"BNP is carrying forward the politics of Shaheed Zia with courage despite facing repression and fascism," he said. 

He also said that BNP wants quick political reforms and fair elections to complete the trial process to repay the blood debt of the martyrs of the past 15 years, including the mass uprising. 

The council was presided over by Jugli Union BNP convener Qari Abul Kashem and moderated by member secretary Krishak Abdus Sattar.

Haluaghat Upazila BNP convener Aslam Mia Babul, member secretary Abu Hasnat Badrul Kabir, joint convener Ali Ashraf, Kazi Farid Ahmed Palash and chairman Shafiqur Rahman, among others, also spoke at the event.
