2 held with phensedyl in Lalmonirhat, Rangpur

RANGPUR, Aug 18, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in two 
separate drives arrested two presumed drug dealers with huge phensedyl from 
different areas in Lalmonirhat and Rangpur districts in the last two days.
 
The elite force seized a total of 245 bottles of smuggled phensedyl in these 
drives, said a press release.
 
On a tip-off, an operational team of the RAB-13 conducted a drive at the 
Kakina area under Kaliganj police station in Lalmonirhat, seized 196 bottles 
of phensedyl and arrested one person at 2:20 pm on Sunday. 
 
The arrestee is Md Manik Mia, 34, son of Mohammad Hossain of village 
Moubhasha Chhoto Rupai under Gangachara police station in Rangpur district.
 
Earlier, another team of RAB-13 conducted a raid at the Purbo Mohipur area 
under Gangachara police station of Rangpur on Saturday night and arrested a 
woman with 49 bottles of phensedyl.
 
The detainee is Ms Moyna, 42, wife of Md Razzak of village South Debipur 
under Ghoraghat police station in Dinajpur district.
 
The elite force handed over the arrested persons to the concerned police 
stations for further legal actions, the release added.
