PIROJPUR, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) - The Disaster Management Department distributed 
corrugated iron (CI) sheets and cheques among helpless families affected by 
fire and natural disasters in Nazirpur upazila of the district today.

The distribution programme was held at the upazila parishad premises at 11 
am. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sazia Shahnaz Toma presided over the 
function.

Upazila Assistant Commissioner , also known as an Assistant Commissioner 
(Land) Bhumi Kaushik Ahmed said a total of 54 helpless families of different 
unions under the upazila were given one bundle of CI sheets each and cheques 
of Taka 2.58 lakh for construction of their houses.

Upazila Project Implementation Officer Khokon Chandra Das, chairman of 
various union parishads, political leaders, journalists and representatives 
of civil society were also present at the function.
