TANGAIL, Oct 13, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-14 arrested an accused of a rape case today who reportedly raped a disabled girl on March 25 last in Tangail.

The arrestee is Ismail Hossain, 55, a resident of Kalihati thana, Tangail.

The accused allegedly raped a speech and hearing-impaired girl in his house. The victim later revealed the incident through gestures and a medical test confirmed she was 26 weeks pregnant.

Following a case filed on October 9 under the Women and Children Repression Prevention (amendment) Act, 2003, a team of RAB traced the accused and arrested him from Deldowar area. Later th accused was handed over to police.
