CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) - A woman and her daughter died after
being electrocuted at Marafela village of Nejampur union under Nachole
upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased are Hawa Bibi, 40, wife of Alamgir of the village and her
daughter Ayesha Khatun, 26.
Hawa Bibi electrocuted while she was unplugging the electric line of the
charger van near her house around 5.30 am. Hearing her screams, her daughter
Ayesha Khatun came to the spot and also got electrocuted when she touched it
to save her mother.
The mother and daughter died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nachole Police Station Md. Monirul Islam confirmed
that both the mother and daughter died from electrocution. Legal action is
underway in this connection, he added.
