MEHERPUR Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) - Onion seeds and agro-incentive like fertilize 
were distributed among 4,000 farmers in Sadar upazila here today to increase 
onion production in the financial year (FY) 2025-26.

The seeds were distributed at a function organised by Sadar Upazila 
Administration and Upazila Agriculture Office. 

Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Moniruzzaman distributed the onion 
seeds and agro-incentive among the farmers. Upazila Deputy Assistant 
Agriculture Officers were present during the time. 

Under the incentive programme to increase onion production in the 2025-26 
financial year, one kilogram (Kg) onion seeds, 20-kg Di-ammonium Phosphate 
(DAP), 20-kg Muriate of Potassium (MOP) fertilizer were distributed to each 
of the farmers.
