MANIKGANJ, Aug 27, 2025 (BSS) - The "Safe Water Supply Project" was inaugurated today with the commencement of digging a deep tube well at Bhatbaoir village under Dighi union of Manikganj Sadar upazila.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Manikganj Sadar Sheikh Mejba-Ul Saberina inaugurated the work as the chief guest.

On the occasion, Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas, Officer-in-Charge Aminul Islam, Assistant Engineer of the Department of Public Health Engineering Md Mahbubul Islam, Chairman of Dighi Union Parishad Aktariddin Ahmed Raja, and other government officials were present.

Some 300 families will be supplied with safe water through a pipeline connected to the tube well.
