BOGURA, Aug 28, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested a man red-handed with fake notes worth Taka seven lakh in Muradpur area under Shibganj upazila of the district early today.
The arrested was Riazul Islam, son of late Ismail Hossain of Sukhdev Paschimpara village under Rajarhat upazila in Kurigram district.
“On information, a police team conducted a drive in the area around 2.30 am and arrested Riazul with 1,400 fake notes of Taka 500”, Additional Superintendent of Police Ataur Rahman told BSS.
“Legal procedures are under process against the arrested accused. Police are looking for other members of the counterfeiting ring,” he added.
