NAOGAON, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS)- A man was killed and two others were injured in a road accident near Nitpur Boro Bridge under Porsha upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Nizam Uddin, 35, son of Md. Saifuddin, a resident of Dakshin Khottapara in Sapahar upazila of the district.

The accident took place this noon when a battery-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a motorbike, leaving the bike rider, auto-rickshaw driver and its passenger injured, said Mintu Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Porsha Police Station. 

Critically injured bike rider Nizam succumbed to his injuries on way to the Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).

Two others injured were taken to Porsha Upazila Health Complex, the OC added.
