SATKHIRA, Sept 29, 2025 (BSS) - Former mayor of Satkhira Municipality and former acting president of the district BNP M.A.Jalil, passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the district this morning.
He was 87.
M.A. Jalil, founding president of the district Chamber of Commerce, had long been suffering from old-age complications, family sources said.
He breathed his last around 7.30 am while undergoing treatment at Bliss Hospital in the district town.
He left behind his wife, one son, four daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
