Govt distributes seeds, fertilizers among 11,870 farmers in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 21, 2025 (BSS) – The government has taken a programme to distribute seeds and fertlizers among 11,870 small and marginal farmers in Shibganj upazila of the district for cultivating Robi crops during the current season.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Azahar Ali inaugurated the programme at the initiative of the Upazila Agricultural Extension Department at the farmer training hall. 

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Taufiq Aziz, Upazila Agriculture Officer Nayan Mia, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Sanjay Kumar Sarkar and officials of various departments were present.

Under the incentive programme, 7,000 farmers will be provided wheat seeds, 4,200 farmers will get mustard seeds, 50 farmers will get groundnut, 100 farmers will get winter onion, 200 farmers will get lentils, 300 farmers will get khesari and 20 farmers will get arhar seeds and chemical fertilizers.
