GOPALGANJ, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Dumdia area of Sadar upazila this morning.
 
The deceased was Md Miraj Mia, 45, son of Jabbar Mia, a resident of Barabaria village under Chitalmari upazila in Bagerhat district.
 
The accident took place when bike rider Miraj hit a standing truck beside the road as he lost control of the bike. He died on the spot, said Sub-Inspector Md. Roman Mollah of Bhatiapara Highway Police.
 
Police recovered the body and sent it to the 250-bed Gopalganj General Hospital morgue.
