NATORE, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) - Goats have been distributed for socio-economic and quality of life improvement of small ethnic groups in Lalpur upazila of the district.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mehedi Hasan handed over the assistance among them at a function held on the premises of the Upazila Livestock Office on Monday morning.

UNO Md. Mehedi Hasan said,  “No community in the country will remain backward. The government has taken effective steps to improve the quality of life of all backward communities.”

 “We are working to ensure sustainable development of the country through balanced development,” he added. 

 Upazila Agriculture Officer Pritam Kumar  addressed the function with Upazila Livestock Officer Md. Abdullah in the chair. 

 Under the Integrated Livestock Development Project with the aim of improving the socio-economic and quality of life of backward small ethnic groups,  each family was given two goats while the total number of recipients is 111 families.
