Two drug dealers held with 600-liter liquor in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS)- Police in a special operation arrested two 
drug dealers in Hathazari upazila and seized 600 liters of locally-made 
liquor from Islamiahat Majlish Bibi area in Fatehpur Union of the upazila on 
Thursday. 

An old pickup van, used for transporting drugs, was also seized during the 
drive.
 
The arrested are Mohammad Badsha, 40, son of late Mofizur Rahman from 
Baradolu DP Para in Manikchhari upazila of Khagrachhari district and Anwar 
Hossain, 31, son of Abdul Haque from the Baradolu area in Tintohari Union 
under Manikchhari Police Station.
 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hathazari Model Police Station Md. Manjur Quader 
Bhuiyan stated that police carried out a special operation in the area around 
6:45 am resulting in the arrest of two drug dealers and the seizure of a 
significant amount of locally-made liquor. 
 
The arrested individuals have been charged under the Narcotics Control Act at 
the relevant police station.
