KCC to set unified design for displaying citizen charters at ward offices

KHULNA, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) has decided to introduce a unified design for displaying citizen charters at its 31 ward offices.

KCC has also decided to revise the prices of various application forms and other facilities, and to construct a ward office on KCC-owned land at Charer Hat in the city.

The decisions were made at the ninth meeting of the committee formed to oversee KCC’s operations, held today at the Shaheed Altaf Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban, with Administrator Md Firoz Shah in the chair.

The meeting also approved several key proposals, including acquisition of 0.90 acres of riverside land at Krishnanagar Mouza under Batiaghata upazila for constructing a garage under the “Waste Management Development” project, demolition of an old structure at Rupsha cremation ground to build a waiting hall for mourners, and procurement of winter uniforms for office assistants and security personnel at ward offices.

Additionally, a three-member committee headed by the budget and accounts officer was formed to determine the salary structure for teachers of Khalishpur Collegiate Girls’ School.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Sharif Asif Rahman conducted the meeting. Chief Engineer Mashiuzzaman Khan, Chief Revenue Officer Rahima Sultana Bushra, Chief Waste Management Officer and Executive Magistrate Kohinur Jahan, and representatives from various government organizations attended the meeting.
