Seeds, fertilizers distributed among farmers in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) – As part of the government’s agricultural incentive program, seeds and fertilizers were distributed free of cost to 10,930 small and marginal farmers in Sadar Upazila here.

The distribution program was held today at the upazila complex, organized by the Sadar Upazila Agriculture Extension Office.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khairul Islam attended as the chief guest, while Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Nasirul Alam presided over the program and handed over the seeds and fertilizers to the farmers.

The government provided wheat, mustard, winter onion, and peanut seeds, along with fertilizers, to farmers across 22 unions and one municipality. The Sadar Upazila Agriculture Department has set a target to cultivate rabi crops on 1,460 hectares under this program.
