CHATTOGRAM, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS) - The National Citizen Party (NCP) today carried out an election campaign procession in the Chattogram-8 (Chandgaon-Boalkhali) constituency as part of its preparations for the upcoming national polls.

The procession, led by Jobairul Arif, Central Joint Chief Organizer and Chattogram Region Coordinator of the party, began at Bahaddarhat intersection at 4 pm and concluded in the Kalurghat area after marching through a five-kilometre route.

Arif is seeking nomination in the constituency under the 'Shapla Kali' election symbol.

Speaking after the programme, Arif said the 'Shapla Kali' symbol would represent the aspiration for people's liberation in Chandgaon-Boalkhali.

He added that although the party initially wanted the Shapla symbol, it was ultimately allotted Shapla Kali, which the NCP now aims to turn into a symbol of public empowerment.

Leaders from NCP's Chattogram city, north and south district units joined the campaign procession.
