Doa mahfil held in Tangail seeking recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia

TANGAIL, Nov 26, 2025 (BSS)-   A doa  mahfil was held in the district today seeking the recovery of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who is currently undergoing treatment.

The programme took place at Jamia Mahmudia Arabia Madinatul Uloom Madrasa in Bajitpur of the district town with the participation of Quran hafez students. 

BNP Central Publicity Secretary Sultan Salauddin Tuku attended the event as the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Tuku said Begum Khaleda Zia had dedicated her life to restoring democracy in Bangladesh. 

“Her contribution to the nation is incomparable. The news of her illness is deeply worrying for all of us. We hope that, by the grace of Almighty Allah and the prayers of the people, she will recover soon and return to us,” he added. 

He also described her uncompromising political stance as a source of inspiration for the younger generation.

Former Tangail district BNP member secretary Mahmudul Haque Sanu, district Jubo Dal senior joint convener Zahid Hossain Mala, and other local leaders and dignitaries were present at the prayer gathering.
