CHUADANGA, Dec 1, 2025 (BSS) - A discussion meeting titled "Come, let's change the country, let's change the world" was held here today to inspire greater youth participation in building a dynamic and developed Bangladesh.

The programme, organised by the District Information Office, was held at noon at the DC Sahitya Mancha of the Deputy Commissioner's office, with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Nayan Kumar Rajbangshi in the chair.

Speaking as the chief guest at the programme, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamal Hossain underscored the vital role of youth in national development, saying youthfulness is defined by mindset and enthusiasm rather than age. "A person may be old in age, but if he retains youthful energy and passion in work, he can contribute like a youth," he said.

He noted that countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and China were in similar conditions to Bangladesh five decades ago but moved ahead through proper utilisation of skilled human resources.

Civil Surgeon Dr Hadi Ziauddin Ahmed, Associate Professor of Chuadanga Government College Munshi Abu Saif, District Information Officer Shilpi Mandol, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Convener Aslam Hossain Ark, Chuadanga Press Club General Secretary Bipul Ashraf and Warriors of July Convener Mahfuzur Rahman also spoke.

The speakers stressed that youth leadership, innovation and patriotism are essential for shaping a prosperous and progressive Bangladesh.
