Prayers held seeking Khaleda Zia's recovery in Khulna

KHULNA, Dec 5, 2025 (BSS) - A doa mahfil was held in Khulna today seeking the 
early recovery and good health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Khulna City BNP organised the doa mahfil after Juma prayers at Baitul Nur 
Jame Mosque in the city's New Market area.

Speaking briefly before the doa, Khulna City BNP General Secretary Shafiqul 
Alam Tuhin said Begum Khaleda Zia is not only a political leader but also the 
"Symbol of struggle for democracy, human rights and people's freedom". 

He called upon the people to pray sincerely for her quick recovery so that 
she can "stand beside the nation again".

Her lifelong sacrifices for democracy and humanity remain a source of 
inspiration, and prayers were also offered for the peace and welfare of the 
country, he added.

Among others, Sonadanga Thana BNP President Hafizur Rahman Moni, its General 
Secretary Md Asaduzzaman Asad, Organising Secretary Zakir Iqbal Bappi, and 
several other leaders attended the event. 

A large number of leaders and activists of BNP and its associate bodies 
participated.

The gathering concluded with a special munajat seeking Khaleda Zia's early 
recovery, long life and the well-being of the nation.
